Located just off the department store itself, this restaurant is a quick and easy place to grab a bite to eat after a long day of browsing (or buying things in) the shops.
Specialising in Italian cuisine, you can expect to find a plethora of well-known or much-loved dishes. On the pasta menu, you'll find dishes such as seafood linguine, ricotta and spinach ravioli and langoustine fettucce – with mussels and cherry tomatoes. From the main menu, you can try the classic chicken Milanese, swordfish muddica or mushroom risotto.
Focusing on fresh and simple ingredients, that late founder of the restaurant, Antonio Carluccio, loved to use in his own home cooking, you are guaranteed authentic dishes from all regions of Italy to enjoy. They follow the motto of ‘minimum of fuss, maximum of flavour’ – a saying Carluccio lived by when it came to cooking Italian food.
As well as lunch and dinner, Carluccio’s also serves breakfast. The menu contains lots of brunch dishes with an Italian twist. For example, each egg dish is served with ciabatta as opposed to regular toast. There is even an Italian take on French toast using panettone in replace of bread and served with ricotta yoghurt, berries, honey and cinnamon. Porridge and granola are on the menu too if it’s a light healthy breakfast you’re after.
Regardless of when you decide to visit, the minimal blue and white interiors, comfy seating and subtle Italian touches makes for a great place to enjoy an impromptu meal at any time of day.
