The Swan at Whittington

It was very cold 

food - steak was tough and not very nice for the money 

friendly staff service OK

but quite disappointed really 

Punching well above its weight this delightful converted pub just outside town serves high quality and ambitious dishes. There is always something novel on the menu and the presentation lives up to the quality of the cooking.

The Swan could hardly be closer to the M5, but you do not notice the traffic. The staff are friendly and helopful, the menu offers a wide variety of food: something for everyone. The cooking is good. So five of us enjoyed our meal. The general atmsophere is fine – full of people enjoying themselves, but some of the wallpaper is a little extreme.
