SquareMeal Review of Bond & Brook

At the cross-street epicentre of London’s fashion stores, Bond & Brook couldn’t be more convenient for shoppers about to drop. Squirreled away in Fenwick’s ladieswear department, the white, mirrored room offers an almost angelic setting for small plates that are undoubtedly satisfying, but easy on the waistline. Little crab cakes with rémoulade, smoked salmon terrine, or caponata & mozzarella on focaccia suit the size zeros, while those concerned about ‘clinical portion control’ will find more to like in a man-sized ham & parsley pie. However, this collection’s highlights are an afternoon tea of ‘couture cakes’ & finger sandwiches that chime perfectly with the sedate, secluded setting, plus a cheeky array of baby-sized full-English breakfasts slotted into sizzling skillets as proper fortification before a hard day’s retail therapy on the credit card.

Stylish little hide away
My fave new discovery. This is definately aimed at the ladies who lunch market and serves lots of little plates that you can mix and match. I had the crab cakes, mackrel terrine and goats cheese with beetroot. The dishes were perfectly cooked and the crab cakes devine – crispy on the outside but moist and tasty on the inside. I will be popping back with my girlfriend on my next shopping trip.

depends who you get in this place. The manager couldn't be bothered and is bordering on rude. A couple of the waiters are ok, but a little bit clueless, the star of the show is a charming waitress who is smiley, efficient and knows her stuff. Nice place, full of ladies who lunch, but it is on Bond Street after all!

Disappointingly inelegant. Just the place for you if you like your wine and even your champagne decanted first into a stainless steel measuring jug- it just seemed niggardly and unnecessary. The last thing I want to see first is clinical portion control, which is a shame as the food was OK.
