Looking at the other reviews, I can't understand it – we went there before going to the show and it was excellent – great food, great service (all be it they were constantly trying to get us to change seats to nearer the front but we were happy where we were!) It was good value for money – especially considering we were in the Notting hill. We both enjoyed the starters and the main meal. The wine was good and brought the bill promptly when asked. Can't think of anything bad to say about it. Well done

We enjoyed everything about la finca. We were made to feel really welcome. It was colder when we went and the open radiators made us feel relaxed and at home. The food is REAL Thai food. properly made. We havent seen anything else like it on this part of the coast. The rustic atmosphere made it for me, as the building is really old and has a lot of history. It is decorated with lots of interesting art, photographs and artesan items made or supplied by local people. I love the lettuce starter with the special sauce, the massamen curry, sticky rice and the icecream dessert that gets set on fire with liqueur. The cocktails were good too. I would definitely go again, and again, and recommend it to everyone. I saw a family with children there, and the kids were eating everthing.

Warm welcome,comfortable seating and relaxed atmosphere I have just returned from a really great dinner here. The food was lovely, with wonderful flavours, great presentation and good portion sizes (my friends green curry and bowl of rice was so big he could not finish it!) Service was very good, without being over attentive and the menu was well explained to us. I have to agree with many other and say the only down side is the room and the lack of ambience in it. At £25 a head for dinner it is a great was to sample the flavours of the only Michelin starred Thai restaurant in Europe ? I for one will be back!

We saw this restaurant on Wowcher and thought the voucher was a good deal for a four course meal. Unfortunately we did not read the reviews before hand, the service was shocking to say the least. Restaurant: The restaurant is very beautiful on the surface, after closer inspection we noticed that most things were covered in dust. Dirty forks and spoons, glasses with smudge marks, we had to change our forks three times. It is not surprising as there was only one waiter on service the entire time. The level of service he offered was poor, but I think this might be down to him being on his own. There was also only one copy of the voucher menu which meant that people were having to wait to view it before they could order their food. The drinks menu did not have any soft drinks listed on it. The toilet was passable but did not have any paper towels but there was three bottles of Tesco value baby shampoo, most bizarre! It is such a shame as the actual restaurant space has so much potential, especially as it is in a beautiful shop front. They are going to have to do a lot to improve the service but should really start with a good clean. Food: The food is not authentically Thai by any means. The vegetable tempura was chip shop battered, it had no flavour and was served with a tiny drizzle of sweet chili sauce. The mixed platter contained burnt prawns on toast, spring rolls and chicken satay with the worst dipping sauce I've ever tasted. The tom yum soup was tasteless with mostly old mushroom and onions. We had the red and yellow curry, unfortunately both were bland, the chicken was dry and over cooked. The dishes did not pack the punch that you expect from Thai food, by punch I mean flavour and heat. This restaurant was such a disappointment, we have had better food at cheaper restaurants and takeaways. Frankly Waitrose's microwave Thai meals taste miles better and is a fraction of the cost. Avoid this restaurant if you can, there are plenty of good eateries within a short walk from this place.

I was told about some new Thai chefs hired here that work wonders. This is not fusion food but real authentic Thai taste. We had the Pad Thai and chicken in oyster sauce which were both impressive. The meat was tender, the vegetables crunchy and fresh and the flavours full as was I after the perfect portions. The service was very friendly and I will definitely go back again.

I have just returned from this place and I have been to many restaurants on tastecard but this is the first review i have written because this place is ABYSMAL. It is the worst restaurant i have been and especially the worst thai restaurant. It was that disgraceful that we could not wait to leave. Firstly i would not even recommend this place to my arch nemesis. I shall start with the drinks i ordered a lemonade and coke for my friend and they were both flat it was obvious they were from an old bottle and for £2 overpriced. Secondly i asked for tap water with ice and they did not have ice and brought very warm water. The starters were nothing special spring rolls and satay and if not on tastecard overpriced especially for the spring rolls they are small and you get three of them. We ordered one green curry and one yellow curry both chicken and i do not believe that the meat was chicken as i could not even eat the meat. The curries are small as well as their rice portions which is what we ended up eating with the curry sauce. We were very unsatisfied. The bill was £17 excluding £3 service which we did not pay for. The place does not accept card unless £20 which was absolute rubbish because when we told the waiter we only had £16.50 in cash which was 50p less than the bill and honestly does not deserve a penny especially when it was a atrocious place to eat at. I have been to many restaurants and if i have been unhappy they have kindly removed the item which i was unhappy with. However the waiter started yelling at us which is very unprofessional. The waiter decided that he would take our £17 card payment after all his nonsense saying has to be £20 and over. If your a fan of thai food then STAY AWAY as far as possible!!!
